What is Night Rating (NVFR)?
The Night Rating allows you to operate an aircraft under VFR at night. You will learn visual specifics, lighting procedures, specialized preparation, and human factors management to conduct safe night flights.
Admission Requirements
- Valid PPL(A) license
- Valid EASA medical certificate (Class 2 or 1)
- Recommended English language proficiency
Course Structure
Theory (min. 5–8 hours)
- Physiology of night vision, visual illusions
- Aircraft & airport lighting, equipment
- Night planning & performance
- Emergency & safety procedures
Practical Training (typical example: ~5 solo + dual takeoffs/landings)
- Night runway circuits, aerodrome patterns
- NNight VFR navigation (dual)
- Abnormal procedures: light failure, loss of visual reference
- Night solo flight (under supervision, per regulations)
